Machinery Lubrication I (MLT I)

About the course:

This course will advance the lubrication knowledge and expertise of your Maintenance team Based on the ICMLInternational Council for Machinery Lubrication’ Body of Knowledge for Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) and Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA), this hands-on course is designed to give you not just the theory but practical tools you can use to help transform your lubrication program. This course will help you:

    • Understand how lubricants work, how to create lubricant specifications for different types of machines, and how to manage their condition.
    • Learn how to optimize and manage lubrication PM’s.
    • Learn how to select oil or grease, the most effective application method, and how to determine the optimum application amount and frequency.
    • Learn how to identify, prevent, and remediate lubricant contamination.
    • Learn how to design, manage and utilize a world-class lubricant storage, handling and dispensing system.
    • Understand the key elements and uses of oil analysis.
    • Learn how to modify equipment for lubrication, oil analysis, and contamination control.
    • Learn how to identify gaps in your program and create a plan for success.

Iraj (Roy) Zarieh is Director of VibeLube Inc. His experience spans more than three decades in various industrial sectors with senior engineering rolls in world class companies. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Level III Vibration Analysis Certification & Level II Machinery Lubrication Certification. Roy has also successfully instructed more than 50 technical training courses (seminars) in Bearings Technology & Maintenance, Machinery Lubrication and Machinery Vibration Analysis.

Certification Exam

The ICML certification exam will be held on the next day after the course completion. Candidates should register for the exam through ICML website.

Course Schedule

The course schedule is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The format is lecture/discussion with power point presentations and lots of case studies. Each student will receive speaker handouts, comprehensive worksheets, applicable textbook and a certificate of completion.
