Vibration Analysis I (ISO Category I)​

About the course:

Vibration Analysis Technology has become a key part of successful Rotating Equipment Reliability and Maintenance for the purpose of monitoring machinery health and early detection of equipment defects. Professional Training is necessary for performing Machinery Condition Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Balancing.
This 4 day course, with an additional full day for review and certification exam, is the ideal starting point for people entering to the field of vibration analysis, people collecting vibration data, and those who want to grow in vibration based CM/PdM. The Vibration Analysis Cat. I course prepares attendees to become expert in the field of vibration data collection and get to know of analysis of vibration signatures. Additionally it is partial preparation for the Vibration Analyst Category I Certification Exam. The workshops and demonstrations scheduled throughout the training course are used to illustrate theory and applications. This course is in accordance with ISO 18436-2 Requirements for Certification. Individuals meeting the requirements for Category I shall be trained for minimum of 32 hours and qualified to:
1.   Operate portable analyzers and create vibration database and routes,
2.  Collect vibration data from rotating equipment in the field
3.  Upload-Download data to vibration program software and perform analysis
4.  Register for Cat. II course and certification.

Roy Zarieh

Roy is a passionate Vibration Analyst with a proven track of field experience as well as successful history as a training instructor in rotating asset reliability and maintenance focusing on Machinery Vibration Analysis & Machinery Lubrication-Oil Analysis. Roy holds both CMVA and Vibration Institute CAT III certifications as well as a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering and other professional designations such as CMRP, MLT II & MLA II. Enjoying 35 years of work experience, Roy shares all of his valuable learnings with class attendees. This is one of the key values of his success in training courses.

Certification Exam

The certification exam will be held on the next day of the course completion provided by Canadian Machinery Vibration Association (CMVA). The exam is based on ISO 18436-2 requirements.

Course Schedule

The seminar will be scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The format will be lecture/discussion with power point presentations. Each student will receive speaker handouts, comprehensive worksheets, applicable textbook and a certificate of Completion. You are welcome to bring your own instruments for classroom practice.
